FAQs
How does someone get seen for counseling?
Visit our Referral Page to submit information, or call our office and make a connection today.
Columbus 614-885-5020 Dayton 937-264-0084
What happens during the first appointment?
The first appointment takes about 1 to 1 ½ hours. During the appointment admission paperwork is completed, including signing consent forms, and providing you with our HIPAA privacy practices and client rights forms.
The clinician will then gather background information; symptoms which are being experienced and goals for counseling services. This helps determine the best course of treatment, just as your physician would do when you see them.
What happens once we have the initial meeting?
The clinician, along with the parent/guardian and child, will develop a treatment plan. This treatment plan will outline the goals, steps to reaching the goals, frequency and types of service. The goals for treatment are determined by what the client would like to work on. Everyone will sign the plan to show agreement.
What insurance/providers do you accept?
UMCF accepts Buckeye Health Plan, CareSource, Molina Healthcare, Paramount Advantage and United Healthcare.
